Island of Ios
For your Easter holiday Panayiotis recommends the island of Ios, which belongs to the complex of Cycladic islands. An island well known for its wild night life and youthful energy but with a lot more to offer to visitors. The island of Ios is also able to satisfy the most demanding visitor seeking for Greek hospitality and natural sightseeing with a pure atmosphere. You will get to see the most crowded beach of Ios, Mylopotas, without sun deck chairs and umbrellas, pure and scenic. Chora, the main town of Ios, this time of the season is relaxing, getting its energy from the local people’s daily life. The Port is as charming as it gets with only just a few yachts around. Don't miss to watch the sunset either from Koumbara beach or from the top of Chora next to the church. During the days before Easter walk behind the Epitaph on Holy Friday afternoon and participate in a local event called “Kounies” which takes place at the entrance of Chora. Nice places for lunch or dinner are: Lord Byron, Pithari, Nest and Elia . The night life is there for everyone who wants to get involved, but with a more traditional spirit. Don’t miss it.
