Giannis and Garifalia are siblings, who created the brand 3Quarters Design. They decided to return to their motherland to develop their dream project after working many years abroad.
Specifically, they came up with the idea of using the remaining fabrics of awnings to make fashion handbags.
(In the city of Athens due to the sunny weather conditions most houses / apartments have awnings.)

They business developed quickly, they started with a professional sewing machine in their house sewing their first bags and then they needed to expand. A new locations found among the most picteresque roads in the historic center of Athens, in the the region of Psirri. The new place allowed them to combine their workshop and a shop.
The bags are 100% handmade and each is a unique item. The designs are minimal with a dose of vintage style. The 3Quarters Design covers a wide range of needs from backpacks, tote bags, clutches, lunch bags, wallets.

The brand's main goal is to utilize or recycle local materials. They produce useful products, with simple materials and a few means, without any additional burden on the enviroment while they adhere to a policy of zero waste. This is very important considering how much energy is spent unneccessarily to produce and to import goods that could have been made in our country. Every piece made by the 3Quarters Design has double or triple value. Except the functionality, the design, the uniquability, most importantly, it is a small but worthwhile step towards a more sustainable local economy.
